Day Camps & Camp Takatoka

Day Camps

Summer day camp sessions run weekly, Monday through Friday, beginning the day after Memorial Day and ending mid-August. Camp activities run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Extended care is offered at no extra cost from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. and from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Payment in full is due one week prior to the start of each session. Up-to-date shot records are required for all day camps.
We offer an outdoor, urban-eco experience through all three of our day camp sites: Westside YMCA, Owasso Family YMCA, and Daily Family
. Day camp programming is a mixture of outside and inside activities, and includes swimming, fishing, target sports, team sports,
STEM programming, arts & crafts, and the MoMo--a 220-foot, double-pipeline slide! Check out our photos from last summer--your kids
can have this much fun in 2018!
Children are divided by age into one of four groups, and programming is designed to reflect their skills, interests, and abilities.
EXPLORERS (ages 5-6): Explorers are our BASE campers that learn how to develop relationships and strengthen character, all while interacting with the natural world around them. Explorers experience all that camp has to offer in a condensed age-appropriate manner.
CHALLENGERS (ages 7-9): Challengers are our ADVENTURE campers who, after learning all that camp has to offer, are ready to refine their skills in specific areas that interest them the most. Challengers will have many options through our diverse specialty camps and are ready for the next level!
TREKKERS (ages 10-12): Trekkers are our SUMMIT campers that are ready to spread their wings and experience camp with more freedom. Mornings will include traditional camp activities and afternoons include a variety of programs from which campers can choose.
LEADERSHIP (ages 13-17): Camp LEADERS will engage in outdoor education programs designed to develop and challenge leadership skills in young men and women through challenging outdoor activities. LEADERS will also participate in meaningful and intentional service-learning and volunteerism that encourages community involvement. Camp leadership programs include C.I.T. at Westside and Owasso day camps, and C.I.L.T. up to age 17 at Camp Takatoka.

Camp Takatoka

Camp TAK, in session every summer since 1913, brings kids from all over the region to the shores of Lake Fort Gibson, just 45 minutes from Tulsa, and situated on 410 acres of beautiful land with diverse geography including lakefront, grass plains, rolling hills and forest.
Activities include archery, high and low challenge course activities, climbing wall, swimming, canoeing, fishing, volleyball, hiking, tubing, wakeboarding and water skiing. From Opening Night Campfire to Thursday Night Live to Closing Ceremonies on Saturday, your child is sure to take lifelong friendships and memories from Camp TAK. We are an American Camp Association-accredited camp (reaccredited consistently and most recently in 2017).
