Teen Camps

Swim Lessons
All Ages. Westside Only.

A new approach to swim lessons includes a new name for each level--Stroke Introduction and Stroke Development. Each session consists of eight classes over a two‐week period, Tuesday through Friday. Participants must be enrolled in Westside Day Camp during the two weeks of lessons. Morning classes run 8:00-8:45 a.m. Afternoon classes run 4:30‐5:15 p.m.

Explorers

Full of wonder and ready for action, Explorers experience age-appropriate programming geared toward developing their motor skills, education and socialization.

Testimonials

"...the memories she has made will last her a lifetime."

“Camp Takatoka and the Westside Y summer camps are amazing! The unique opportunities that the wonderful staff, volunteers, property, and camp activities provide to kids are incredible. My daughter has attended for four years at both camps and the memories she has made will last her a lifetime.”

—Katy (Camper’s mother)

“I am thankful that we have had the opportunity to send our son to YMCA Westside Camp and Camp Takatoka. He had the chance to experience crucial events in a young boy’s upbringing like fishing, swimming, arts and crafts, the wilderness and being a part of a team with his fellow campers. [He] makes us promise him every year when we pick him up from camp that he will get to return the next year.”

—Craig (Camper’s father)
