Traditional Camp Ages 5-12
Campers are divided into groups by age. Our youngest campers—ages 5 and 6, or Bugaboos—experience modified camp activities geared to show them the wonders of nature and introduce them to camp. Bugaboos is carried out under the watchful eye of a ratio of 1:10. Hangdogs, or campers ages 7-9, experience all of our Traditional Camp activities including hiking, fishing, canoeing, swimming, archery, computer lab, arts and crafts, game field, nature center, and much more, with a ratio of 1:15. Our oldest campers—ages 10-12, or Rockjocks—will experience regular camp activities or can choose one of our specialty camps, with a ratio of 1:15. From the moment campers arrive each day, counselors guide them through a balance of activities between active and quiet, sports and cultural, and group and individual. They will have opportunities to sing songs, tell stories, meet new friends, and more.

Counselor-In-Training Program Ages 13 -17
Application and Interview required.
Our Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is for teens who want to take their camp experience to the next level. With an emphasis on developing team-building and leadership skills, CITs will demonstrate responsibility through their work on camp projects and working with younger campers. CITs will be provided with the opportunity to receive training in the areas of camper supervision and safety, and then assigned to work with a group of campers and shadow an experienced counselor. CITs also will have the opportunity to experience a full-day high ropes challenge course in June, as well as a weekend to build friendships and make memories at our first-ever CIT Retreat at Camp Takatoka. The development of skills will be only slightly outweighed by the sense of personal achievement our CITs will gain.
