Traditional Camp Ages 7-14
Traditional camp continues to be exciting, whether it’s your first summer at camp or your eighth. There is always another adventure to discover through challenging and fun programs. Traditional campers ages 7-14 live in air-conditioned cabins with modern facilities, while some of our older specialty campers get to stay in rustic, open-air cabins. Campers are housed with approximately ten campers of similar age. Throughout the day, campers have the opportunity to participate in traditional camp activities, and may also choose from a variety of specialty programs.
All of Camp Takatoka’s programs follow the "challenge by choice" philosophy—you choose the degree in which you participate.

Mini Camp Ages 6-8
Mini Camp is designed for the first-time camper to get the feel of all that camp has to offer without being away from home for an entire week. Arriving Sunday and leaving on Tuesday after lunch (which parents may join), our Mini Camp program is highly structured and offers campers some of the same activities that are offered to older campers but on a level that is more closely suited to their age and experience. If this is your child’s first overnight camping experience, you can be confident that this will be a summer like no other—the first in a long line of fantastic summers at Camp Takatoka.
