Branch Closures

Dear YMCA Family,

At the YMCA, we believe our role and responsibility is twofold: to the health and well-being of our staff, members, volunteers, program participants and partners while also playing a constructive role in supporting local health officials and government leaders as they work to keep the community safe.

The YMCA COVID-19 Task Team along with our Metropolitan Board of Directors has been given the responsibility of determining the safest plan for our Y community, and are recommending we temporarily close our Y facilities and programs at the close of business Tuesday March 17, 2020 with the exception of our Spring Break Camps which will remain open through the following day. We will remain closed through March 29, 2020 and will evaluate status at that time.

Our key leadership staff will continue the work of the Y and in service to our communities. We will address critical community services including meal distribution for kids and seniors. Since our inception in 1909, we have always been that organization that walked in the direction of the challenge and will continue that promise.

We ask that you join us in the effort and continue to pay your membership fee so that we can continue the work of the Y. Naturally, if this creates a hardship for your family, we will gladly put your membership on hold.

We are excited to announce MOSSA MOVE, a free streaming platform for all your favorite Y fitness classes you’ve come to love. Please visit our web site ymcatulsa.org for more information and stay tuned for additional on-line resources for keeping your family healthy.

In your humble service,

Ricki Wimmer
