Enhance Fitness

Program Overview

Enhance Fitness is an evidence-based group exercise program that helps older adults increase physical fitness and maintain independence. The program focuses on cardiovascular endurance, strength, balance, and flexibility through safe, fun, and adaptable movements.
 

The Program

Led by certified instructors, participants take part in one-hour sessions that include warm-up, strength training, balance work, and stretching — all in a supportive, social environment.
Program Goals
Over the course of the 12-week program, Enhance Fitness at the YMCA will support you in:
  • Improve strength and flexibility
  • Enhance cardiovascular health
  • Increase balance and mobility
  • Support social connection and overall well-being
Program Eligibility
Designed for older adults and individuals managing chronic conditions such as arthritis or heart disease. Participants should be able to stand and move independently or with minimal assistance.

Cost
Free for YMCA members. Financial assistance available for non-members.
