Livestrong

Livestrong

Livestrong at the YMCA is a FREE 12 week cancer exercise program for those who are living with, through, or beyond cancer to regain strength and connect with other cancer survivors. Livestrong at the YMCA participants experience improved fitness and quality of life as well as significant decreases in cancer related fatigue.

The Program

As a participant in the YMCA’s Livestrong at the YMCA Program, you will participate in small-group, evidence-based sessions designed specifically for adult cancer survivors. The program focuses on building strength, increasing physical activity, and improving overall well-being in a safe and supportive environment.

Certified Livestrong at the YMCA Instructors will guide you and your classmates through fitness and wellness activities tailored to your abilities and recovery journey. Along with exercise, you’ll learn strategies for stress reduction, healthy living, and connecting with others who share similar experiences.

There will also be opportunities for participants to explore additional YMCA wellness programs, group fitness classes, and supportive resources for long-term healthy living.

Program Goals

Over the course of the 12-week program, Livestrong at the YMCA will support you in:

  • Rebuilding muscle strength and endurance
  • Increasing flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular fitness
  • Reducing fatigue and improving energy levels
  • Supporting emotional well-being and confidence
