Thunder Youth Basketball
The Thunder Youth Basketball League is the standard YMCA League with an emphasis on the development and understanding of the game of basketball. Officials will be more lenient and assist in helping the child learn. The season consists of eight games. The Thunder Youth Basketball League is open to children ages 3-12. For ages 7 & up, the league is gender specific.
IMPORTANT DATES FOR SPRING SPORTS 2023
- Jan 23- Registration Opens
- Feb 27 – Registration Closes
- Week of March 10- Parent/Coach Meetings
- Week of March 20- First Practice
- April 1- First Game
- May 20- Last Game
UNIFORMS
All players will be required to have the official YMCA Thunder Basketball League jersey. The jersey is available for purchase ($25) at the front desk of your local YMCA.
LOCATIONS & PRACTICE
Practices will be held at your home YMCA branch, date and time will be determined by the volunteer coaches
Games may rotate between all YMCA of Greater Tulsa locations depending on league size.
COACHES NEEDED
The YMCA uses volunteer coaches to provide leadership to the community through structured athletic activities. If you are interested in coaching, please click here to volunteer.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
It is the policy of the YMCA of Greater Tulsa that no person be denied membership or program participation due to the inability to pay. Funds for financial assistance are provided through the YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign.
