Swim Lessons for Parents & Children ages 6 months - 3 years
To ensure that your child starts in the correct class look over the below photo with your child in mind. As well, the below photo includes a description of each YMCA swim lesson level.
Supporting our community
Aquatic programs for children 6–36 months of age require the in-water participation of a parent, guardian, or other adult who is trusted by and legally responsible for the child. The parent or guardian is the first and best teacher of the child. The under-age-3 program is directed to this parent or adult. The instructor provides guidance to the adult, who must accompany and supervise the child in the locker room, pool, and any other areas related to the aquatic program.
